Tobie here: I’m down again! I can’t believe it. I was at work last night and I got really nauseous and within an hour was puking my guts out. The weird part is that a coworker also got nauseous within the same hour and also went home sick. Maybe there were some chemicals in the air that made us sick?? Anyways I was up all night puking and still today feel awful. Again the worst part of this story is that I am not able to spend any time with the babies while I feel bad just in case it is stomach flu or something.

The good news is that Daddy was able to spend a couple hours holding the babies in my absence. I wonder how this will all work out once the babies are home and I get sick. We are lucky in a way that if we don’t feel well now the NICU staff jumps in and helps out with holding the babies and giving extra love….I can’t imagine feeling this way and having to take care of two babies. Yikes! So I haven’t eaten in over 24 hrs, but I need to keep pumping to avoid another dreaded spell of mastitis. Amazingly enough, milk is still coming out. I’m so weak I can barely walk, yet the breasts keep going. Weird.

Baby updates: Paige has reached the 6 lb mark and then some. (6.2lbs)!! Big girl! The night nurse weighed her three times because he didn’t believe her weight gain. Cole is once again at 5lbs (okay I rounded up, technically he’s 4lbs 15.4 oz) They both are doing great!
