Yes I didn’t use the magical silver machine I blog from to generate the pictures above. They are 100% legitimate, the glasses have landed. Remember when we said the optometrist originally told us that she had been in the field for 15 years and she pretty much guaranteed we would cry when Paige put on her glasses for the first time because she would come out of her shell? Remember that? Do you? Well, Paige didn’t act any different. Yes we were going to cry, but we were going to cry for the wrong reasons. It had only been a few hours, maybe she needed more time? I could have sworn the eyeglasses manual said your baby will be able to see and interact within 15 minutes after taking the glasses out of the box. See, this is why I don’t read directions!
So we are trying not to think about whether or not she can see or can’t see. Tobie and I started talking, it could be worse and started rattling off other preemie problems we don’t have. Well, Tobie was getting Paige ready for bed and I asked her to get Paige dolled up for a quick photo shoot. Low and behold as I walked around the room, Paige started following me with her eyes. She’s never done that before. That’s a good sign and that’s where I leave you tonight. Oh btw, now that she has glasses, her IQ has gone up 40 points. That’s a fact about wearing glasses if you didn’t know.

OH MY GAW! I have never seen somebody look so cute in glasses before! How does she seem to react to being able to see better?
I would’ve returned the darn things within the first couple of minutes & told the yeller that the glasses weren’t working right.
I can’t wait till Cole tries to lasso Paige, but she dodges & throws her glasses at him. Then they’ll start crying cause of all the bruises & stuff.
But then they’ll smile & be happy cause they know that whatever happens to them their parents will take good care of them…even if the glasses sit on the radiator & melt, for the 4th time.

She is just so stinkin cute in them! Do they stay on pretty good? I bet it’s gonna be like a whole new world to her.

I am glad PAige got her glasses. Just so you know, if Paige kept her glasses on for a few hours without taking them off then they are working!!! Zoe tried to pull hers off immediately. I had to physically hold her down so she would wear them. Once she got used to them, then I could let her go. When she first started wearing them she would just sit and stare adn be very mellow. Now she is all over place in them. Zoe started wearing them at 6 months so it takes some time toget used to them. Now she almost will wear them all day. That is with a patch for an hour too.
