I got yer post!

eric   March 28th, 2007

For now on I’m not going to post until the previous post has at least 10 comments. Loving me some comments (J/K about not posting).

Paige looking out!Things are good, real good. Tobie’s aunt is here all week helping out. It’s been fabulous! Tobie had a laundry list of projects to accomplish during her visit. They are all done (ahead of schedule I might add). Thanks also to Nicole for coming over to help on her day off! The babies have been great as usual. Cole is eating table food better than ever. He’s eating so well that the feeding therapist is probably going to stop treatments in the next month. Now if we could only get him to eat more volume (is it wrong to always want more?). Paige also started using the walker. She is so proud of herself (I’ll be posting a video later). She’s also getting so much better with her separation anxiety. She’s even getting better at self play. Pretty soon she’ll be Miss Independent!

P & C fighting for the window We had our OB appointment today. We set a C-section date for April 30th if we don’t go before 39 weeks. It seems just like yesterday Tobie was telling me she had some unbelievable news. Oh how time flies. We had another ultrasound today. The baby now weighs above 6 pounds. That puts him in the 70th percentile which means he’s charting about 2 weeks ahead of schedule. The OB is worried we are going to have a very big baby, making a C-section almost mandatory. Come 37 weeks we’ll be doing all the old wives tales to get him out to avoid having a C-section. We got another great shot of his head in 4D. I’ll try to post that later.

I am so happy that you all are getting so close to experiencing a full term delivery after the early arrival of your triplets. Gives me hope that one day we might do the same (we had 24 weeker twins, lost our first born at 13 days and our surviving twin is doing great at 15 months now). Best of luck during these last few weeks! Lisa

That’s wonderful news you guys! I am so happy to hear it~ I have been away from computers for about a week and I missed you all so much! The babies are so darn cute! I can’t wait to see how they do with their new baby brother.
      Take care

That is so great that you got so far. Now that you did, I wouldn’t let them bully you into a c-section. Women’s bodies are made to have babies even big ones! I would just listen to your body and wait until you go into labor naturally. Lots of women go to 42 weeks! Please don’t get a c-section if you don’t want one. The recovery with THREE little ones will be very hard!

Trust me we don’t want a C-section. They are letting us decide, but there gets a point where a VBAC isn’t recommended based on the size of the baby and given our previous medical history. No worries! :)

First of all, I hope YOUR reply comments count towards the 10 post min…

Second, since Tobie is doing well, will she be joining us for my birthday dinner at Houston’s tomorrow night (sent her a text, didn’t hear back)?

Third, in the picture of the two babies at the window, it kind of looks like Cole has two black eyes. Did he really hurt himself or is it just the way the picture looks?

Fourth, how’s Homer doing in his new digs?

Feel free to answer each question in a separate post - that way we’ll have another update in about 3 minutes!

      Val

So I’m not invited to dinner?

There was no flash on that shot of Cole, so when he moved during the photo, it looks more like a double exposure.

Hum, it seems like that around 39 weeks they could try and induced VBAC before they go straight to a c-section. I am so happy for you guys that THIS is your worry now. :)

I don’t think they will try to induce with a previous c-section because of the higher risk of uterine rupture.
