Eating Out :: Chick-Fil-A Style
Dear Chick-Fil-A,
We enjoyed your hospitality and chicken nuggets very much. Sorry about the mess. we cleaned up the best we could. If we could tip, we certainly would for the mess we caused. I’m sure this is the first of many messes we will make in your fine establishment for years to come.
Yours truly,
Paige and Cole
P.S. If you would let Moxie come with us next time, we wouldn’t leave such a mess.

Shower the new baby with love
Tobie here:
On Sunday my good friend Gina threw me an amazing baby shower. It was such a wonderful shower and I should know as I’ve been to many showers over the last couple of years. Some great friends and family attended and a good time was had by all.
I wish I could say I didn’t choke up and get all emotional. I did. I kept thinking how fabulous it was that my friends would attend and help me celebrate this pregnancy, especially since I delivered my other babies before I could have a shower last pregnancy. Everything about last pregnancy (except of course P & C) seemed so wrong, so it was nice to appreciate all that is good so far with this pregnancy. Thanks to all of you who made the drive to Gina’s and helped make my shower so special. I can’t express how much that meant to me. And Gina, thanks again for the beautiful day. You are truly a great friend!

Weight Check
Cole had another weight check. If you recall last month we switched formulas. Are you ready for the results? Our big guy has gained 19 ounces in less than a month (a new Olympic record, but he did test positive for steroids). He’s now 18.5 pounds. Give it up for the big guy!

32 Weeks
32 weeks in a pregnancy is a huge milestone. Just about everything is done cooking inside. In the coming weeks, “the one that shall not be named” will learn how to suck and breathe (note: he is named, we just aren’t telling you the name yet). I would have posted a picture of Tobie’s belly, but someone said my pictures of Tobie were a little too seductive (you can thank Kirk).
The babies are just exploding in everything developmental. Cole wants to walk soooo bad. His new thing is to pull himself up on something, then stand unassisted for a few seconds and then take about 2-4 leap of faith steps before doing a face plant. He’s gotten quite good at falling. It’s a much cleaner fall than when he first learned to pull himself up just a few months ago. Back then he would pull himself up then fall very stiff on his back, ouch! That was a pretty painful part of his early development. Cole’s also starting to sit. He’s always been able to, but he wouldn’t stay in one spot for too long. Now he’ll grab a toy and just play in the sitting position. He’s also doing better eating. Eating isn’t the most pleasurable experience for him, but we’re getting the job done. I think we are supposed to be at roughly 30 ounces a day on his new formula. We’re now constantly in the 20-30 ounce range. Sure beats the good old 10 ounce days! Cole’s vocabulary is still a little lacking. When we met with our new speech therapist, she noticed that Cole was pretty behind in this department. Cole’s speech typically consists of yelling “hey”. I’m sure he’ll get better in this area with time. I’m prepared to get the fish oil when ready!
Paige is also doing fantastic things. She started pulling herself up on everything. She whines when she crawls around the floor and pulls herself up. But when she’s actually standing, she is so happy. You can tell she feels a sense of accomplishment when she pulls herself up to a standing position. Now we just need to teach her out to get down from the standing position. She’s also eating us out of house and home We don’t do baby food anymore. Once she had a taste of “real” food, there was no going back! Sometimes I think she has 4 stomachs with the amount of food she shovels in her mouth. I wish Cole took the same pleasure in eating.
The babies are also starting to interact with each other and play. I’m going to put my money on Paige being the leader. Cole is a little scared of stealing any toy Paige is playing with. Paige has given him a couple of hard whacks to the head when Cole invades her space! When together, they do tend to smile and grab each other. If Paige is standing using the couch as support and Cole using the couch as support, he’ll walk around her using her for balance. It’s very cute. One thing that’s still pretty rough is when one baby cries, so does the other. We can go from a happy house to a monster house very quickly.

Eating Out
I can count on one hand the number of times
we’ve eaten out with the kids.
We went to our local Mexican food restaurant.
Paige had a quesadilla and Cole had french fries and mac & cheese.
Not sure how authentic his meal was.
