So Cole has a peanut allergy. That’s not so bad, not much is made from peanuts nowadays, right? Ugh. I totally blame this on George Washington Carver. If it weren’t for him, maybe peanuts wouldn’t be so popular today. Dam you Carverrrrr!!
We’re going to get some blood drawn so they can run some more tests. Apparently the soy bean is in the same group as the peanut. Hmm…at least he doesn’t eat anything with soy in it, unless you count the 25 ounces of soy based formula we give him a day! Other than that, things are good.

Ohhh no…
Hopefully you guys will be able to find a subs for the soy formula soon that will still keep him gaining and growing… HUGS HUGS HUGS

AWWWWWW NUTS! literally, nuts. that sucks.
He hasn’t tested positive for a soy allergy, they are just going to test him because many times the kid can be allergic to both. I doubt he has a soy allergy.
That really stinks. Hopefully it’s not bad enough to give him full on anaphalaxis now, or later in life. Poor little guy.
poor baby. I doubt he has a soy allergy too given that he consumes soy every day….
Tried to send you an email but couldn’t get it to work, so thought I’d delurk and post since this stuff is right up my alley (i was blessed with a wonderful peanut and tree nut allergy that leads to anaphylactic shock with simple contamination…oh the joys). I wondered if that was it looking at his face the other day - poor little guy! Wanted to mention that as severe as my allergy is, soy is just fine for me (and most people I know who are severely allergic to peanuts are okay with soy) - so hopefully this will be the case with Cole. I suggest getting a good stockpile of epi-pen jr’s (esp since the theory is that each reaction tends to be worse than the previous one unless you outgrow it). I would also suggest getting rid of all forms of peanuts/PB/anything with contamination b/c while you may be careful, I have seen too many times where well-meaning friends, babysitters, grandparents come in and accidently give the kid something they aren’t supposed to have if it is in the house.

Oh wow…that sounds like a major bummer for Cole. Glad you found the source tho…
So cute. No wonder she screams for you ever morning -she’s daddy’s girl !!
Yes, even MOXY !!! I even told Hayde that he can play with Cole in the foyer at church ;)…ha ha ha
Ok - loved the video !!
Poor Cole - he really was sick.
Eric, you don’t love making that girl of yours smile do you??
See you Sunday - really looking so forward to seeing all of you

Glad you found part of the source of the problem - that blows (literally). PB&J are so the best when you’re a kid
I hope that the rest of the testing gives some results that make sense rather than just obscure things.
And nice video
Its nice when everyone snoozes and you get 5 mins to breath.
Oh no!!! What a pain- I have a friend who has struggled with food allergies with all of her friends and it is sooo hard, especially if you have had feeding/ weight gain issues….I will cross my fingers that you can still do soy!!!
cute video! but please be careful with Drew sleeping on his tummy!
haha! the code that you have to put in to post has the word soy in it. what a coincidence!
I also really enjoyed the video but Tobie’s reaction to your camera work in the 2nd part was classic!
Loved the video, especially Paige’s big smile at the end:)
Hey, who sings that song and what is it called?
Anne
It’s a Moby song. It’s off of Play or 18, don’t know the name of the song off the top of my head.
