Ever Have One Of Those Mornings

eric   November 20th, 2007

Ever had one of those mornings where your one son, Drew, has the worst night’s sleep ever.  Where he is up every hour wanting to breast feed?

Ever had one of those mornings where your one daughter, Paige, who hasn’t slept past 4 am in the past month, finally sleeps in but your other son, Cole, wakes up screaming butt ass early for maybe the third time in his life?

Ever had one of those mornings where your daughter’s diaper wasn’t securely fastened when she went to bed and she ends up crapping all over herself inside her sleeper?  And then when you try to wash her off in the shower the crap clogs the drain?

Ever had one of those mornings where you wish you didn’t get out of bed when you did?

Ever had one of those mornings?

hmmm…yes. I remember going in to comfort Drew every hour. I remember getting Cole out of his crib and comforting him in our bed. And yes I remember getting coated in Paige’s poop while hosing her down in the shower. You were writing this on my behalf?

I just want to send you guys some positive something….anything…if only I could figure out what… You really have been having a rough time of things lately, between Paige’s night/nap terrors (as someone who wears a minus eleven in both eyes, there may be something to Viscouse’s comment about her feeling disoriented, and it being worse at night), to the unexpected news about Cole (can you get a second opinion? Worth doing….we have great preemie ped. eye folks here in Philly, but that is a bit far afield, I guess), to Drew now chiming in. Man are your kids competitive! Maybe we can get them to take up a new kind of competition: who can be the most quiet and angelic kid around? Anyway, I hope things get easier soon!

Eric: buy Tobie a gift certificate to the closest spa. You live in Phoenix, there are plenty of great choices!

      Yipes and yuck.
Hard to make you feel better, but here’s a feeble attempt.
Both kids came home from pre-school with poopie underwear that was bagged “as is” for our enjoyment, and which by the end of the day smelled so bad that it almost made me gag…
      :)
