Here we come Preschool!

tobie   February 22nd, 2008

WootJust received our acceptance letter for preschool in fall.  Looks like all our hard work and extracurricular activities, volunteer work and such, qualified us to get admitted in fall.  Whoopee!!  How many days until August 18th??  And isn’t that conception week?  :)

I’ll start preparing now. For preschool that is, not the other thing.

That’s GREAT news! I’m sure they will have a great time, as I’m sure you and Eric will as well ;o)

OK, boy do I have questions for you….

preschool, when their 3rd birthday is in January? Most programs here in Michigan are geared for 3 and 4 year olds, and the 3rd birthday has to be by Dec 1st.

The only 2 year old programs that I’m finding (in my limited search), are for “mommy and me” classes which meet once a week for 2 hrs. But we already have an evening playgroup that we attend for 1-3 year olds (and both mommy and daddy attend) - this is structured and there is a snack time, but only 1.5 hrs.

Next year it seems that we will continue with the state funded Early Intervention through our school district, which will be once a week for a couple of hours. But we’ve been doing that for over a year now already (since 1/2 of our services are center-based rather than all being home-based).

So… email me! Tell me more about your preschool!
(I’m very worried that I’m not on top of things)

      Thanks,
      Pam
