Cole’s been coughing for a few days now. We were hoping his cough didn’t get too bad. Unfortunately it looks like he might have pneumonia (the tests take 5 days or so to process so we are going to start him on a round of drugs now) and will be in the hospital for at least 2 days. He’s was on 7 liters of O2 at one point but has settled down to about 2 liters. When he came home from the NICU I think he was on 1/4 liter just to give you an idea. We started doing hour long breathing treatments. The doc said they actually can do 72 hour continuous breathing treatments for patients that need it. How crazy is that? Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon and he can get back home to Paige and Drew. Oh he weighes just 22 pounds again. Super.

Big prayers going out for Cole tonight. I hope he feels better soon, and that all of you can he home together. Big prayers going out to tobie and eric too, praying you cope with the stress and confusion of a time like this.

He really wasn’t sick previously. It came out of nowhere. He just couldn’t stop coughing today and we think his airway siezed up.
Tell Cole to get better because we want to see him at swim lessons!!! Let us know if we can do anything - especially since Drew loves me so much - not! Seriously though if you need some help with him and Paige - just call us! Lacey asked me today what the big 1 meant on Drew’s invitation … she is so excited for the party! Just like her mom - loves the chance to get together to drink and eat!!!

I can’t even look at that close up picture again. That poor sweet boy. I’d offer to help but we are tied up with therapies all week.

I’ve been reading for a while, and never commented. Just thought I should let you know I’ll be praying for sweet Cole… and mom, dad, and the two littles at home as well. Hope he is much better very soon!
