The best picture we got today while visiting the butterfly garden.
Those little orange things in the middle of the picture are butterflies, FYI.

What a great photo! I love the sippy cup sized backpacks!
Another 3-4 inches of snow here… It’s so hard for me to even imagine that you’re trying to pack in the fun before you have to go into hiding - while we’re still IN hiding!!!
Are those actual backpacks or are they the brat strap backpacks? Those are cute either way.
Did you just call my kids brats? Yeah they got leashes on them said backpacks.
the child harnesses have always freaked me out. Would never plan to use one, but glad they worked for you.
We have the harnesses too. I call them “tethers”. I dont care what people think. I want my children near me. So they don’t get nabbed by Mr. Freako. When they learn to stay near me then I can take off the teather and they still have the monkey on their back. It’s kind of like the dog, bell, meat trick. You know, Pavlov.
Oh and don’t you totally dig those push cars? I want a mommy sized version and someone can push me around with my wine sippy cup.
I used one once, I loved it, because it gave the child freedom to walk around, but not too far–definitley makes for a happier child not to be fully restrained in a stroller or cart. But I could not handle the looks people gave me…and my husband did not like it either.
Hey lightbulb moment that I am going to share, that no one probably really cares about….but I think I may have just thought of the solution when I try to walk my almost 3 year old kid and my 90 lb 7 month old puppy—I have the puppy under control, but not the kid..puppy is walking in nice heel position (we train for formal competition obedience) but the child is wandering this way and that. this might just work.
Don’t let anyone say anything about the backpacks. I think they are great. You only have two hands and 3 kids. The kids love to have a puppy on their back. If you are getting any looks it’s because you have such a beautiful family, not the backpacks.
Oh I do love this picture, but I can’t help but hate that you all are out and about, having fun outside. There is still around 4 feet of snow in my yard that won’t melt. Ugh. I’m never coming back to your blog again.
