hint: also make sure to wipe down your chairs regularly! We have nice water spots on ours… from milk, juice, etc.

I second the wiping down the chairs! It is amazing what you can find underneath those booster seats. What helped us a lot was actually putting down a towel or plastic mat before fastening the chair down… it may not look as nice, but really saved the wear and tear (and the scratches from the plastic booster seat sliding around on it).
Have you tried the placemats that actually stick down to the table? They are fairly big and throw away, so you toss them after each meal? I know that seems expensive, but you can get a pack of 8-10 for like a 1.50, which in the long run seems cheaper to me than table damage… they also have those fun placemats that the kids can color… and if you can find some sticky stuff that doesn’t take off the coating of the table too bad, you can get them so they don’t move… (and that table looks very familiar… ).

You guys look like people that need an old plastic kitchen. Did you get one yet? How about a recliner?
Ooh, another recliner? Sold!
She kinda has the “heheh, he’ll never guess where I put those noodles” look on her face.
