So Cole’s home. That’s awesome. The world doesn’t feel right when we’re not all together. Everyone was out of sorts these last couple days. Paige was just giddy today with Cole returning home. I told her we were going to the hospital to get Cole and I think she was sprinting into the hospital to get him. So he’s home but he’s still coughing like crazy and we need to give him breathing treatments still every four hours. That’s a lot. Also, we are all sick. Everyone but Eric. I’m worried Cole will get worse with Paige, Drew and I having constant snot streaming out of our noses.
So with Cole being home, we are also not supposed to take Cole outside with all the allergens in the air. Uughh. We are supposed to keep him from running around or getting too excited. Uughh. We are also supposed to limit his exposure to outside things. Uughh. It’s going to be a long weekend of doing NOTHING inside our house.
Well, need to get to sleep. I am so completely spent from this week of physical and emotional trauma. The worry, stress, guilt and sickness are all catching up to me. I need a vacation. Once I get rid of all this snot.

So glad Cole is home. Sorry the rest of you are sick. You guys are in our prayers.
Keeping a small child from getting excited is hard work. Does he like TV? Your local library for DVDs or On Demand cable may be a good plan. (I hate TV and limit it to less than 4 hours a week.) When our little Superhero had pneumonia last April a nurse hipped us to Thomas The Train. They play it a lot in children’s hospitals. It’s has an amazing calming effect on kids. The library should have a ton of DVDs. Unlike some shows that want them to dance and wiggle.
Take care…
Our kids have really never watched tv. I guess that’s one advantage of them having bad eyesight!
Glad Cole is home with you guys again. Sorry you all are sick(minus Eric) Feel better soon. Thomas, Curious George, and Bob the builder are favorites at this house. Lane doesn’t blink if one of those shows are on. And I must add, he does learn from them. He always references things from the show. “Look dad, a hook and ladder truck like George was riding on with the firemen.” That was the last one. Good Luck!! Give kisses to the babies for us, especially Cole.
Glad Cole is home. Yeah it would be really hard not to get him too excited. Thats just what 2 year olds are supposed to do……….run around and get excited. Hope everyone is feeling better by tomorrow or at least by Sunday. Do you guys have playdoh? Well Ill tell ya this……my kids played with it all evening (4 hours). Its cheap, doesnt make a mess and the kit has all the shapes and stuff. Get some rest.
