Having premature babies you learn a lot on how the human body develops. When the kids were born, they didn’t know how to breathe, eat, suck, see, etc. They had to develop and learn. Being able to watch Paige and Cole grow up the past few years, I’ve learned a lot about human nature. While they have had to learn to develop, many things are just instinctual.
1. Farts = funny. Yes it’s true, it’s a universal fact. I personally have been long aware of the true power of air biscuits. Always funny. I said always. Many unfunny people don’t share that opinion. To bad this is FACT and not opinion. People who do not grasp this concept have strayed from their instinctual roots. It’s like when a gorilla is removed from the wild and put in the zoo. Observing Paige and Cole, I have evidence it’s funny and instinctual and people who do not laugh at breaking wind are just old caged gorillas who have lost their way. When Paige or Cole “cut the cheese”, they laugh. Now I didn’t teach them to laugh at this and I know Tobie didn’t teach them to laugh at it. So this behavior must be something ingrained into our souls. Next time someone around you let’s out a barking spider, laugh, it’s good for the soul and will make you feel younger. Watch this video, I dare you not to laugh.
2. Burps = funny. Yes it’s true. See point number 1 above. Watch this video and try not to laugh (or even smile), I dare you.
3. Wearing clothes is not natural. Yes it’s true. Now that Paige and Cole are aware of themselves, the wearing of clothes is restricting. Any chance they get, they’ll take their clothes off and run around butt-naked. They didn’t get this behavior from either one of us. Again, it must be some instinctual animalistic trait that causes them to enjoy “letting it all hang out”. Think about it, we are lighter, faster, and less restrictive if we free ourselves of wearing clothes. In business, that’s a winning combination, so why do we wear clothes if they only drag us down? Must be the same reason people don’t think farts or burps are funny anymore.
Next time you feel like an old caged gorilla, embrace your inner child, you will be more free and return to your roots, like this guy.

YES…farts are FUNNY!!! Even Brooke knows that. Everytime she (or someone else) farts she laughs hysterically and swooshes her hand infront of her face. She’s so crazy! She especially likes to fart on my hand while I’m carrying her…and of course she laughs. It’s like she holds it until her butt is in my hands…ha ha ha!
LOL…
How ironic… just today my 14 month old “tooted” and then started giggling! He LOVES being naked, too… hates it when I put clothes on him! Great post, as always!
Happy to hear that we are not the only ones who share our home with Barking Spiders!
How timely. Just recently, Ivy laughs & says “Faa!” when someone in the house (guess who) lets on rip. I don’t know where they got it, but I will say it is one of the benefits of staying outside, in the wide open, as long as I’m not standing next to any flowers.
Dear Eric,
Farts are your intestines screaming, “OH NO! LACTOSE! For the LOVE OF GOD, buy me some probiotics before I explode!!!”
Sincerely,
Grumpy Old Caged Gorilla
