So yes, Paige did split her forehead open on our granite countertop yesterday.  I had made an appointment to get their haircuts and Paige was so super excited she put her shoes on and ran super fast into the kitchen to grab her water for the car ride.  Either she stumbled or didn’t realize how fast she was running or a combo of that, because out of the corner of my eye I saw her hit unbelievably hard into the counter then stumble back after impact.  As blood is gushing out of her head I told her we would now be going to the doctor instead of the haircut place and she’s crying that her head isn’t bad, she doesn’t need the doctor, and she really wants a haircut.  Silly girl.

So she can’t swim or bathe for two weeks.  I’m supposed to do sponge baths, uugg.  We were supposed to start swim lessons for everyone yesterday but she stayed home with my girl J and big O.  So just Cole, Drew and I went swimming.  Their coaches are awesome.  Drew was in the water with me and Cole had a private lesson.  How awesome that we are paying group price for a private lesson.  But  he definitely needed the private one-on-one interaction because everytime I looked over at him he was sobbing in the water.  When we first saw the pool he said “you guys swim, I’ll watch.”  I told him he was going in the water too and that’s when the tears started.  So after the lesson was over I asked Cole how he liked the swim lesson and he said it was great and he couldn’t wait to go back again next week.  Huh?  Was that the answer expected from the kid that sobbed and shook with fear the whole lesson?

Drew on the other hand is a natural fish.  The instructor was going over things to work on during the lesson and I swear he didn’t even finish his thoughts and Drew was doing what the guy was saying.  Monkey walk along pool edge, check.  Pull yourself out of the pool, check.  Jump back in, check.  The only things we still need to work on are floating and basic swimming skills.  Our instructor was impressed with Drew big time and said he would move up to the starter class (same class as P and C) after a few lessons in the advanced toddler class.  AWESOME!!!

Owen is a rolling machine now. He rolls all over the place…very cool. Also he slept almost five hours straight last night. Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other news:  Cole had his tumbling show this afternoon.  He was amazing!  Truly, truly amazing!  And I’ve seen him in tumbling class and he’s never been that impressive.  But he did everything he was supposed to today and he was very equal to every other kid in his class.  But he had cuteness that no other kid had so that makes him the best by far.  The funny thing is that the parks and rec program has two summer sessions.  Paige’s ballet is only the first session so I signed her up to be in Cole’s tumbling class the second session.  Which they told me today “no Mommy…Paige does ballet and Cole does tumbling”.  I think I may mess them up by putting Paige in Cole’s tumbling class.  They really like the concept of doing their own activities.

Cole and his classmates.  I think some of the kids are a lot older.

The tumbling pics are so great that they make me want to drop an f bomb (in a good way). I can’t wait until our 24 weekers are at that point.
